Meadow Springs is a suburb within the City of Mandurah, immediately northeast of Mandurah’s central area. It is bounded by the Mandjoogoordap Drive in the east, Gordon Road in the south and Fremantle Road in the west.
Meadow Springs is fast becoming a highly sought-after suburb for its proximity to a glorious beachfront, the Peel Inlet, the Murray and Serpentine Rivers, the Harvey Estuary, and a world class golf course that includes hectares of landscaped parklands connected by kilometres of walkways. The limestone quarry has been transformed into a popular recreational space with an amphitheatre, grassy open space, native bushland and an adventure playground, with extensive slides, climbing walls, picnic and BBQ areas and public toilets. Although known as a children’s adventure park, the topography of the site, landscaping and quarry wall make a beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony.
The $6.4million Meadow Springs Sport Facility is another option for keeping active, with three rugby fields, two cricket wickets and four practice nets, sports lighting, a function room, a kitchen and bar, changerooms, a community meeting room and grandstand seating.
For schooling options, residents have access to three private schools, Frederick Irwin Anglican School (K-12), Assumption Catholic Primary School (K-6) and Mandurah Baptist College (K-12). Meadow Springs Primary School is the newest government school and opened in 2012.
For all your shopping needs, Meadow Springs Shopping Centre has a Coles, Liquorland, Australia Post, doctors’ surgery, cafes and other fast-food outlets. This friendly community shopping centre prides itself on independent retailers and local businesses. If you’re looking for a bigger shopping experience, the closest is Mandurah Forum just a 10-minute drive south.
The population of Meadow Springs is 9,729 with a density of 1,960 persons per square km. Of the families in Meadow Springs, 45.9% were couples with children, 37.1% were couples without children and 16.3% were one parent families.
