Wilyabrup

Wilyabrup is a small township just north of the Margaret River Region of WA, in the local government area of the City of Busselton. It is located approximately 253 kilometres south of Perth and just over three hours’ drive. A short 10-minute drive gets you to the neighbouring town of Yallingup, whilst trips to Dunsborough and Margaret River will take about 25 minutes.

Living in Wilyabrup means access to all the natural beauty that the South West region has to offer, including pristine beaches, ancient limestone caves, local wildlife, walking trails and tall karri tree forests.

A famous tourist spot is the Wilyabrup Sea Cliffs which are 40-metres tall and great for rock-climbing and abseiling. They offer spectacular views of the ocean and coastline. The north side of the cliffs bloom with wildflowers during spring and give you the chance to spot whales and dolphins. One of the best ways to see the Wilyabrup Cliffs is by doing the Cape to Cape Track walk, which covers 135 kilometres of coastline.

There are endless water activities for the whole family. From surfing lessons and kayaking in the clear blue waters, to fishing tours and relaxing swims, there are plenty of beaches to choose from. For a unique experience, you can take a trip to Quinninup Falls – one of the most popular tourist attractions in Wilyabrup. The falls are surrounded by lush greenery and you can swim in the natural pool at the base of the falls.

For wine enthusiasts, Wilyabrup has the highest concentration of premium wine producers in the region and is home to some of the region’s earliest and most respected wineries. Moss Wood, Vasse Felix and Cullen founded in the 1960s and 1970s are the most famous. Award-winning, world-class quality can be found in fruit-intense chardonnays, rich semillons, robust cabernets, soft merlots and many other varieties and blends.

For the foodies, a memorable meal is not hard to come by with highly skilled chefs having access to local quality fresh produce. The result is a wide variety of extraordinary dining experiences, from beachside cafes and fine dining restaurants to gourmet vineyard lunches.
