Prevelly is a 3-hour drive south of Perth and just 10 minutes’ drive west of Margaret River. It is located on the coast at the mouth of Margaret River at the northern end of Calgardup Bay.

The coastal town of Prevelly enjoys some of the South West’s most beautiful beaches. The area boasts several reliable and breathtaking surf breaks. Neighbouring Gnarabup Beach serves as the venue for the prestigious Margaret River Pro surf competition held annually in March, offering spectators the opportunity to witness the world’s finest surfers showcasing their talents while tackling the formidable waves of the Indian Ocean.

Previously a quiet and tranquil village cherished by surfers and the Margaret River locals, in recent years it has gained popularity as a fashionable destination. Despite the recent attention, Prevelly retains its rustic charm, with minimal development and just a handful of scattered houses nestled amidst the expansive sand dunes that stretch towards the Indian Ocean’s edge.

The famous Cape to Cape Track passes through Prevelly, attracting hikers and walkers all year around.

For adventurous exploring, venture into ancient caves and majestic tall timber forests. Feeling like a water adventure? No problem! You can even rent a canoe or kayak and embark on a relaxing journey down the river.
