Manjimup

Manjimup is a town located in the southwest region of WA, approximately 305 kilometres south of Perth. It is situated within the Shire of Manjimup – the largest shire in the South West. Manjimup is  known for its stunning natural beauty, including the tall trees of the Southern Forests and the picturesque landscapes of the Blackwood River Valley.

Travelling to Manjimup from the Perth CBD is easy, by car, simply head down the Kwinana Freeway and then the South Western Highway to reach Manjimup in around 3.5 hours. There are also options to travel there by bus, train and plane. Bus services depart daily taking approximately 4 hours, a train from Perth to Bunbury followed by a bus to Manjimup takes around 6 hours, or hop on a plane to Albany, which is only 100 kilometres from Manjimup.

Manjimup is famous for its timber industry and produces high-quality jarrah, karri and marri. In addition to forestry, the town’s economy is driven by agriculture, horticulture, and viticulture. Crops grown include; truffles, avocados, cherries, apples, pears and potatoes. In recent years, Manjimup has become a hub for foodies, with its fresh produce being highly sought after by chefs and gourmands alike. Manjimup is the largest producer of black truffles outside of Europe and hosts the annual Truffle Kerfuffle food festival celebrating the region’s truffle industry.
