Manjimup is a town located in the southwest region of WA, approximately 305 kilometres south of Perth. It is situated within the Shire of Manjimup – the largest shire in the South West. Bus services depart daily taking approximately 4 hours, a train from Perth to Bunbury followed by a bus to Manjimup takes around 6 hours, or hop on a plane to Albany, which is only 100 kilometres from Manjimup.
Manjimup is famous for its timber industry and produces high-quality jarrah, karri and marri. In addition to forestry, the town’s economy is driven by agriculture, horticulture, and viticulture. Crops grown include; truffles, avocados, cherries, apples, pears and potatoes. In recent years, Manjimup has become a hub for foodies, with its fresh produce being highly sought after by chefs and gourmands alike. Manjimup is the largest producer of black truffles outside of Europe and hosts the annual Truffle Kerfuffle food festival celebrating the region’s truffle industry.
