Ferguson Valley

Ferguson is about a 2-hours’ drive south of Perth in the Bunbury Geographe region. From Perth, you can drive via the South Western Highway or the Forrest Highway.

Ferguson is like a paradise in Bunbury, offering fantastic wineries, small breweries, excellent restaurants, cozy retreats, and a vibrant arts and crafts scene.

Nature enthusiasts can enjoy peaceful bushland walking trails in Wellington Discovery Forest and Crooked Brook Forest, surrounded by majestic jarrah, marri, and yarri trees. If you’re more adventurous, you can explore the 40 kilometres of mountain bike trails at Mount Lennard, suitable for beginners and experienced riders.

A must-visit attraction in the area is Gnomesville, a magical place with over 3,000 unique gnome inhabitants. There are some very clever Gnome-based puns and Gnomes in funny outfits, as well as some really moving tribute Gnomes. The collection started in 1998 with a single gnome and has grown as people from around the world added to the village.

The gnomes are said to bring good luck, but be careful not to damage or steal them, as legend has it that they are always watching, and you might experience bad luck.

Ferguson also has numerous cafes, winery restaurants, and breweries to suit any mood and budget. Art galleries and other attractions add to the timeless charm of Ferguson Valley.

Families are well catered for with various schooling options, including Dardanup Primary School, Our Lady Of Lourdes School, Boyanup Primary School, Donnybrook District High School, and Eaton Community College.

As of July 2023, Ferguson’s population is around 238. The majority of residents are couples without children, making up 61.4% of the population, while families with children account for 37.1%. The area mainly consists of houses rather than flats or other types of dwellings.
