Eagle Bay

Eagles Bay is a small town in the South West of WA in the local government area of the City of Busselton. It sits on the tip of Cape Naturaliste in Geographe Bay, with the picturesque towns of Dunsborough, Yallingup and Busselton on its doorstep. It is approximately 256 kilometres south of Perth and takes a little over three hours’ drive.

Eagle Bay is a popular holiday destination with so much to do and see. You can indulge in world-class wining and dining, take scenic walks through native bushland, explore ancient caves, swim and surf in stunning crystal-clear turquoise water, or simple enjoy the sunset from your beachfront balcony.

With the world-famous Margaret River Wine Region on your doorstep, you’ll never go thirsty! There are more than 100 top-notch wineries, fine dining restaurants and a boutique brewery, giving you a tantalising taste of the region’s freshest flavours.

There are plenty of activities for the whole family to enjoy. World-class diving adventures let you get up close and personal to the amazing marine life, whilst the clear sheltered shallows of the bay are ideal for snorkelling or a relaxing swim. Yallingup’s internationally renowned beaches are the perfect spot to test your surfing and body boarding skills.

When the weather cools down and you’re in need of some dry land activities, you’ll be glad to know there’s a network of walking trails with breathtaking views of Geographe Bay. Cape Naturalist has one of the most diverse treks on Earth – the Cape to Cape. Walking or cycling the 135-kilometre track will lead you to beautiful beaches and headlands, tall karri tree forests, ancient caves and carpets of spring wildflowers. Take a walk up to the top of the Cape Naturalist Lighthouse and you’ll enjoy 360-degree views of Geographe Bay where you can watch whales cruise by on their annual migration and learn about the region’s rich maritime history.

For the shopaholics, the South West region is filled with boutique stores around every corner. From clothes, souvenirs, gifts and books to gourmet food items and vintage accessories…you name it, they have it.

There are no schools within Eagle Bay, however nearby schools include Dunsborough Primary School, and two private schools, Our Lady of the Cape Primary School and Cornerstone Christian College (a primary school campus in Quedjinup).

The population of Eagle Bay is estimated to be 120. Of the families in Eagle Bay, 76.2% were couple families without children, 23.8% were couple families with children.
Annual growth of the suburb is sitting at 40.4%. Based on settled sales as of 17 October 2022, the median land price in the suburb is $1,400,000 (reiwa.com.au).
