Wembley Downs is an inner northern suburb approximately 10 kilometres from the Perth CBD and within the City of Stirling local government area. The name Wembley Downs originated from the name of the suburb’s major golf course – which still stands as a big attraction for those in the area and beyond.

Those who enjoy the convenience of living close to the city will be glad to know it’s only a 13-minute drive to the CBD. If you need public transport, there are plenty of local buses that can get you into town within 30 minutes. Whilst Wembley Downs doesn’t have its own train station, there are several very close by, including Stirling and Glendalough stations.

Placement in schools, in and around Wembley Downs are highly sought after. The two local schools are Wembley Downs Primary School and the prestigious Hale School. Some other nearby schools include Newman College, Holy Spirit School, and Churchlands Senior High School. The area offers a great range of primary and secondary schools, as well as variations from the public, private, catholic and specialisation in the arts. For those looking at tertiary education, both UWA and the ECU Mount Lawley campus are extremely accessible from Wembley Downs and less than a 15-minute drive.
