Madeley is approximately 20 kilometres north of the Perth CBD, in the City of Wanneroo. Previously part of Landsdale, much of the suburb was rural in character until the 90s, with market gardening a common activity. From 2001 onwards, extensive property development resulted in massive population growth.
Neighbouring Kingsley, Wangara, Darch and Marangaroo, the suburb of Madeley is a 20-minute drive to Perth’s CBD, using either Wanneroo Road or the Mitchell Freeway. If you prefer to take public transport, then the Joondalup line will be your best option for getting around the metro area. Via bus and train you can reach the city in under 40 minutes.
Madeley is conveniently located close to the Swan Valley, Perth’s CBD and Hillarys Boat Harbour. Madeley is directly east of Hillarys – simply head towards the coast, and you’ll be there in under 15 minutes. For all your shopping needs, Kingsway City Shopping Centre is just a few minutes’ drive away. The centre has a gym, medical centre, post office, plus Woolworths, BigW, Aldi and lots of food outlets.

The population of Madeley is 6,084 with a density of 1,960 persons per square km. The suburb is heavily populated with established couples and families, maturing couples and families, and older couples and families who make up 53.6% of total residents.
Annual growth of the suburb is sitting at 6%. Based on settled sales as of 28 February 2022, the median land price in the suburb is $425,000 (reiwa.com.au).
