Client Stories:

Robert and Sonia

What began as a family visit from New South Wales soon became something more. After spending time in Perth, Robert and his mother, Sonia, knew they’d found the place to call home.

Inspired by the lifestyle and coastal surroundings, the family decided to relocate and build a multi-generational home.

Situated in the growing coastal community of Jindee, their new Plunkett Homes residence delivers comfort and considered design with a granny flat attached to the main dwelling. The family are overjoyed with the result.

Client Story - Robert and Sonia build their multi-generational home in Jindee, Western Australia, with Plunkett Homes.

Moving from Sydney to start a new life on the west coast, Robert and his parents entrusted Plunkett Homes to build a multi-generational home on a unique block in Jindee.

As Robert explains, the decision to move west was made with his mum Sonia’s health in mind.

“After having a bad reaction to shingles, mum’s health was deteriorating,” Robert explains. “We came to visit our cousins here in Perth, and after about a week, there was a complete transformation in mum. We realised we had to make this move.”

Robert and his parents turned to Plunkett Homes to build a multi-generational home in the northern coastal suburb of Jindee.

“We turned to Plunkett, and they looked after us, building us the most wonderful home, our dream home, and we’re flourishing here,” Robert says. “We couldn’t be happier.”

Initially, the family considered building two smaller homes, but after finding a large block, decided to build one home with a separate granny flat. Working within the unusual shape of the block, the team at Plunkett Homes designed a C-shaped residence that maximised the space and filled the home with natural light.

The home was a joy to bring to life, and we’re thrilled Robert and Sonia are so happy with the end result.

“We couldn’t be happier with the experience; it’s been an absolute pleasure. It’s been smooth, everyone has been helpful, and the process has been easy. It never needed to be harder than it had to be.”
