Ridgewood is approximately 36 kilometres from the Perth CBD and within the City of Wanneroo local government area. Ridgewood is primarily made up of single dwellings on blocks averaging around 500sqm, with the occasional duplex or battle axe block developments.

Residents love the area for its proximity to the beach, minimal traffic and great value. It’s a lovely modern suburb with new infrastructure being added to the area every year. Transport to and from the suburb is convenient with a drive down the Mitchell Freeway taking you into the Perth CBD in under half an hour. Alternatively, the Joondalup Line from Butler Station will get you there within the hour.

Ridgewood is bordered by Merriwa, Clarkson, Butler and Neerabup, with these areas providing all the amenities you could need. Some of these include the Brighton Beach Medical Centre, IGA Quinns Rocks Fresh, Farmer Jacks in Butler, Gumblossom Community Centre which has a sports hall and various function rooms for hire, and plenty of dining options for every occasion. Why not visit Sixty30 to enjoy some Friday night drinks and live music, then end the weekend at 115 Collective for a scrumptious Sunday morning breakfast and some of the best coffee in the neighbourhood.

For those that like to keep active, there are plenty of recreational activities close by. From kickboxing schools and yoga studios to go kart racing, mini golf and water sports at the Mindarie Marina. There’s sure to be something to please the whole family.

Ridgewood is a great location to raise a family thanks to its numerous parks. Ridgewood Park is a spectacular park with enough picnic spots for you to choose a new one each time you go! If parks don’t tickle your fancy, then Quinns Beach is only a 5-minute drive away, and Jindee Beach about 8 minutes’ drive.

There are numerous primary schools around the area – Merriwa Primary School, Brighton Catholic Primary School, Quinns Rocks Primary School and Quinns Beach Primary School. High schools in the surrounding area include Clarkson Community Highschool, Alkimos Baptist College and Mindarie Senior College just to name a few.

The population of Ridgewood is 4,886 with a density of 2,750 persons per square km. The suburb is mainly populated with maturing and established couples and families, who combined, represent 37.2%, followed by young families at 12.3%.

Annual growth of the suburb is sitting at 12%. Based on settled sales as of 14 March 2022, the median land price in the suburb is $172,500 (reiwa.com.au).
