Heathridge is approximately 33 kilometres south of Yanchep within the City of Joondalup. Heathridge is bounded by Hodges Drive to the north, Mitchell Freeway to the east, Ocean Reef Road to the south, and Marmion Avenue to the west.
Like its surrounding suburbs of Edgewater and Ocean Reef, it’s close to Joondalup and offers families in the area coastal living at a fraction of the cost. The suburb is well served with public transport options, including the Edgewater and Joondalup train stations close by and many bus routes to get you from A to B. A drive into the city is only 24 minutes straight down the Mitchell Freeway.
If you’re looking to spend some time outdoors, you can’t go past Mullaloo Beach and the Mullaloo Beach Lookout – just a 6-minute drive and you’ll be able to take in the views of the ocean along with white-winged fairy wrens around the bushes, plus white-backed swallows in the warmer months. There is plenty of free parking and bike racks, plus there are also public bathrooms, and change tables for parents with young children.
Heathridge is located nearby several primary schools and secondary schools with private and public options available, including Heathridge Primary School, Eddystone Primary School and Poseidon Primary School. For the younger kids there is MercyCare Early Learning Centre providing care from birth to 6 years. For tertiary studies there is an Edith Cowan campus just an 8-minute drive away.
The population of Heathridge is 7,043 with a density of 1,824 persons per square km. The suburb is heavily populated with older, established and maturing couples and families that comprise 50.7% of total residents.
