Bunbury is a coastal city approximately 175 kilometres south of the Perth CBD. A drive from Perth to Bunbury using the Kwinana Freeway and Forrest Highway takes less than two hours. Schools in and around Bunbury include; Bunbury Senior High School, Newton Moore Senior High School, Manea Senior College, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Dalyellup College, Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School, Bunbury Catholic College, Grace Christian School, and Tuart Forest Primary School. For tertiary education, there is an Edith Cowan campus in Bunbury and also the South Regional TAFE.
The population of Bunbury is estimated to be 45,825 with a population density of 412.7 persons per square kilometre. Couples without children make up 53% of the population, followed by couples with children at 20.7%. Single parent families make up 6.8%.
