Plunkett Homes has pledged a further three years of support to Variety WA, increasing its contribution as a Major Partner to the children’s charity to $30,000 per year.
JWH Group and its subsidiary, Plunkett Homes, are longstanding supporters of Variety. Jay Walter, General Manager of the JWH Group, has taken part in and remained a dedicated partner of the Variety Bash since 2011. Between 2014 and 2021, Jay served on the Board of Variety WA, serving as Chair of the Board in 2021.
In 2015, Plunkett Homes partnered with Variety WA to present the Variety of Choice Home Lottery. The fundraising initiative ran for three years, with proceeds helping Variety WA empower WA kids facing illness or disadvantage.
In 2020, Plunkett Homes became a Major Partner of Variety WA, pledging significant financial support to the charity. That partnership has now been renewed, extending the commitment through 2029 with an increased annual contribution of $30,000.
Plunkett Homes stamps the Variety WA logo on new home slab pours and promotes the charity across social media and display home signs. Plunkett Homes staff have also taken part in volunteer activities to support Variety WA, including packing emergency care bags and wrapping Variety Christmas gifts.

A partnership that keeps growing
“Plunkett Homes is incredibly proud to extend our partnership with Variety WA for another three years,” said Plunkett Homes General Manager Michael Vermey. “Increasing our contribution to $30,000 a year reflects how much we value the work this charity does for West Australian children facing illness or disadvantage.”
“Variety is a fantastic organisation to sponsor. It helps children when others can’t, and we are honoured to continue supporting it.”
“As one of WA’s most established home builders, Plunkett Homes understands that strong communities are not built overnight. They are built through care, trust and a commitment to showing up year after year. Their renewed support of Variety WA reflects those same values, and it will help us keep saying yes to children and families at the moments that matter most.” Chris Chatterton, Variety WA CEO said.
