Nollamara

Nollamara is located approximately 10 kilometres north of the Perth CBD, and its local government area is the City of Stirling, bordering Yokine and Dianella. Older homes in Nollamara are being replaced by new townhouses, with parts of Nollamara elevated, providing views of surrounding neighbourhoods.

Being only 10 kilometres from Perth City and 11 kilometres from Trigg Beach, you’re in the perfect spot to enjoy the city life and live the coastal dream. Access is convenient for wherever you wish to go. Travel only 15 minutes to the CBD via the Mitchell Freeway, or if you prefer public transport, Stirling Train Station is close by with many local bus services. Other beaches within arm’s reach include Scarborough Beach, Brighton Beach, Peasholm Dog Beach and the family favourite Mettams Pool.

Flora and nature reserves are in abundance in Nollamara and the suburb is characterised by extensive trees, parks and recreational facilities. The newly renovated Des Penman Reserve is a good example of this. It hosts a range of sporting activities including tennis, soccer and lawn-bowls, plus a playground, shaded lunch areas and BBQ facilities. Other sporting hot spots nearby include the Western Australian Golf Club in Yokine, with superb fairways, greens, a picturesque lake, and views to the city and Darling Ranges; the Dianella BMX Pump Track; and The Beach House kids’ amusement centre in Balcatta. There’s an activity for everyone at every age!

Nollamara is in great proximity to excellent schools – whether you’re looking at primary or secondary, public or private. Local schools in the area are Nollamara Christian Academy, Nollamara Primary School, West Coast Steiner School and Our Lady of Lourdes School. Nearby, you can find Dianella Primary School, St Lawrence Primary School and Our Lady’s Assumption School. For tertiary studies, North Metropolitan TAFE Balga is just a 5-minute drive, and Edith Cowan in Mount Lawley is 9-minutes away.

Residents have two local shopping centres close by for doing a quick food shop. Nollamara Shopping Centre is right in the middle of the suburb, and Mirrabooka Square is only five minutes away just over the border. There has been a surge in young families and professionals populating the suburb, evident by its population profile of independent youth making up 25.3% of residents, followed by maturing and established independence at 15.4%, and older independence at 11.9% of total residents.

Annual growth of the suburb is sitting at 10.8%. Based on settled sales as of 7 March 2022, the median land price in the suburb is $267,750 (reiwa.com.au).
