With more than 40 years experience in the building industry, it’s fair to say that Brian has seen plenty of changes over the years. Design trends have come and gone, building techniques have been fine-tuned and developed, and construction materials have continued to evolve. Today, Brian brings all that experience and expertise together as head of our South West and Albany divisions. He’s looked after our operations in these glorious regions for almost 15 years, placing the emphasis squarely on traditional values such as customer service, honesty and integrity.
Although a recent addition to the southwest and great southern teams Matt has been part of the Plunkett Homes Family for 15 years. Beginning in Estimating and with stints in both administration and construction, Matt is our go-to-guy for all building-related matters, no matter how large or small. He’s constantly in touch with our building supervisors to monitor progress on our building sites, and is across all the paperwork to make sure your home is being built on time and on budget. It’s Matt who makes sure we get competitive rates from all our suppliers and he’s the man to ask when we want to make sure we’re making the best use of our construction dollars.
Chief Executive Officer
Anticipating the unanticipated, setting our business’s ‘integrity compass’ and spearheading change. These are just some of the tasks that Tony, our CEO, lists in his job description. A firm believer that the modern business requires change – and lots of it – Tony started at Plunkett in 1985 as assistant accountant, becoming our Chief Executive Officer in 2000. Over the years, he’s overseen the launch of the Domain by Plunkett brand, driven our expansion into Geraldton and Albany, led the introduction of steel roof systems, framed housing and new technology, and managed the arrival of computer-aided drawing, GST and social media to name but a few. An advocate of the open-door management policy, even if it does mean numerous unscheduled interruptions to his day, the former President of the Housing Industry Association (HIA) says there’s never a dull moment. He expects more change is on the cards as Plunkett continues to meet the ever-evolving demands of today’s homebuyers.
Cost Control Manager
It’s Manny who adds the numbers up when it comes to the cost of your new home – or any one of our display homes or promotional homes for that matter. He started his career about 15 years ago with Plunkett as a scheduler in Perth, then moved into estimating. Before long, opportunity knocked and he shifted to the South West, jumping at the chance to head up his own department for Plunkett and to live on acreage, close to Bunbury, the beach and wineries. And in case you’re wondering, he doesn’t miss Perth’s peak-hour traffic at all.
Samantha made the ‘sea change’ from Perth to the South West in 2009 and couldn’t be happier. The authority on all things admin in the office, she’s also in regular contact with our suppliers to make sure our product knowledge is bang up to date, and that we’re on trend with the latest new products and materials. Samantha has more than 10 years experience in the building industry under her belt, and thrives on the fact that there is never a dull day and always something new to learn.
Think of Graham as the person who presses the ‘start button’ and gets your build underway. He’s the person who works through all the engineering details and the plans, arranges all the earthworks, and gets the site ready for your slab to be poured. A carpenter by trade, he’s spent almost 20 years as either a supervisor, senior supervisor or construction manager. After growing up in Albany, he had a stint in Kalgoorlie, then an even longer stint in Perth, before returning to his hometown and the area he loves.
